Is There a Way to Customize the Icon for an Imported Module? Some FastChip designs may have many different imported modules. By default, FastChip uses a single icon for all imported modules, making it somewhat difficult to visually distinguish between the various module types. Starting with FastChip 2.2.0, you can add your own custom icon images for a module.
The icon graphic must be 22 pixels wide by 20 pixels high and saved as a CompuServe Graphics Interchange file, commonly referred to as a GIF. The palette for the image can be any size up to 256 colors, which is the upper limit for a GIF file. After creating the image, save it as the same name as the imported module, but with a *.gif file extension. Save the file into the imported module subdirectory under your FastChip project. Using the MyDesignE5 project as an example, you could create a custom icon for the imported ‘heartbeat’ module. Create a custom graphic called heartbeat.gif and save it into the \ImportedforMyDesignE5 subdirectory under the MyDesignE5 project.
